Quick answer: ATMOSE exhibited at the International Cargo Bike Festival 2026 at Jaarbeurs Utrecht on 12–13 October, at Stand 3.5 . Over two days we demonstrated the folding front-loading e-cargo bike Model R , showed finish and colour options, and met dealers, distributors and riders from across Europe. The Model R remains in the pre-production phase; series launch, pricing and delivery times will be announced.
This article follows our pre-show invitation of 28 September 2026.

ICBF returned to Jaarbeurs Utrecht for its 2026 edition on 12–13 October, and ATMOSE spent both days on Stand 3.5 with the Model R and the wider range.
The plan for the stand was deliberately simple: rather than talk about folding, invite people to do it. Over the two days, visitors folded and unfolded the Model R themselves, checked its footprint against their own hallways and garages, and asked the practical questions that decide a cargo bike purchase — where it lives when it is not being ridden.
That is the problem the Model R was designed around. A conventional cargo bike is around two metres long, which is an advantage on the road and an obstacle everywhere else: lifts, hallways, basement lockers, car boots. The Model R keeps the full front-loading geometry while riding and reduces its length by roughly 80 cm when folded.

The most useful thing about a trade show is that you cannot hide behind a spec sheet. Visitors put the bike through the sequence that matters to them, and the stand photo above shows the result: the Model R in its folded state, with its front wheel off and the frame sitting at car-boot height.
With the front wheel removed, the Model R measures 102 × 44 × 76 cm . Folded with the wheel in place, it is 120 × 44 × 85 cm . No rear rack is required to carry it.

Alongside the bike, we had our colour sample board on the stand, and it drew nearly as much attention as the Model R itself. Visitors spent time comparing finishes and asking what could be specified on a series build.
Colour and finish selection will be confirmed as part of the series launch. If you would like to be told when the full range of options is published, get in touch .

The ATMOSE stand covered more than one use case. Alongside the folding Model R, visitors looked at:

With 250 W of rated power and assistance limited to 25 km/h, the Model R is a pedelec and therefore legally a bicycle in Germany and comparable European markets — no registration, no insurance requirement and no licence.
Three things came up repeatedly with dealers and distributors over the two days:
Folding is the demo, not the spec. A shop can show a customer the complete folding sequence in seconds. It answers the storage objection before it is raised — which is why the Model R performed better in person than on paper.
Floor space is the real objection. At 120 × 44 × 85 cm folded, the Model R can be displayed and stored where a conventional cargo bike has no place. In densely built inner-city shops this is often the decisive requirement, and it was the single most common reason dealers stopped at the stand.
Low-maintenance technology keeps the workshop quiet. Belt drive, internal gearing and disc brakes remove most of the routine adjustment work a derailleur and chain setup demands, which lowers warranty and workshop effort over the life of the bike.
The Model R is currently in the pre-production phase . Series launch, pricing and delivery times will be announced.

Thank you to everyone who came to Stand 3.5, folded the bike, sat on it, measured it and told us honestly what they thought — including the visitors who brought their own bikes to the hall for comparison.
That is the most useful kind of feedback a stand can get, and it goes straight into the series build.
