ICBF is the original annual gathering of the cargo bike industry, bringing together manufacturers, dealers, fleet operators and city logistics specialists from across Europe. The 2026 edition returns to Jaarbeurs Utrecht.

What is on the stand

The centrepiece of the ATMOSE stand is the Model R, a folding front-loading e-cargo bike designed around a problem that decides a lot of cargo bike purchases: where to put it when you are not riding it.

A conventional cargo bike is around two metres long. That is an advantage on the road and an obstacle everywhere else — lifts, hallways, basement lockers, car boots. The Model R keeps the full front-loading geometry while riding and reduces its length by roughly 80 cm when folded.

The folding sequence will be demonstrated on the stand, and visitors can fold and unfold the bike themselves.

Model R at a glance

With 250 W of rated power and assistance limited to 25 km/h, the Model R is a pedelec and therefore legally a bicycle in Germany and comparable European markets — no registration, no insurance requirement and no licence.

Fold it yourself: the car boot test

The question we hear most often from dealers and from customers is a practical one: does it actually fit in a car?

With the front wheel removed, the Model R measures 102 × 44 × 76 cm — small enough for most car boots, with no rear rack required. That is the size shown on our ICBF stand poster in inches (40.2 × 17.3 × 29.5 in).

At Stand 3.5 you can fold the bike yourself and check the measurements against your own requirements — bring your tape measure, or your car.

Why the Model R fits a dealer's range

Little floor space required. At 120 × 44 × 85 cm folded, the Model R can be displayed and stored in locations where a conventional cargo bike has no place. In densely built inner-city shops this is often the decisive requirement.

One demo bike, several customer groups. Families, commuters and commercial users ask different questions but test-ride the same model. That reduces the number of demo bikes needed and increases utilisation per vehicle.

Low-maintenance technology. Belt drive, internal gearing and disc brakes remove most of the routine adjustment work that a derailleur and chain setup demands. That lowers warranty and workshop effort, and it is a strong argument in the sales conversation with customers who want an everyday bike without maintenance chores.

A product that rewards good advice. The folding mechanism, the 45 kg front basket and the 720 Wh battery all need explaining. Shops that advise well here compete on service rather than on price alone — and build a loyal service customer base.
